Pieni keittiö vaatii huolellisempaa suunnittelua, koska jokainen pienessä tilassa hyvin hyödynnetty sentti ratkaisee paljon keittiön toiminnallisuuden kannalta.

Jos halutaan saada mahdollisimman vesiturvallinen keittiö, valitse pieneen keittiöön tiskipöytä omilla mitoilla. Pieneen tilaan sopii esimerkiksi Stala C-Seitsikko -tiskipöytä, jonka saa 420-3000 mm pituusmitalla.

Nykyisin on saatavilla kalusteisiin integroitavia kodinkoneita, joissa on samassa esimerkiksi uuni- ja mikrotoiminto. Tasoon saa upotettua pienen kapean liesitason, jossa on tilaa kahdelle kattilalle. Myynnissä on myös kokonaan irrallisia keittotasoja. Näin saa enemmän laskutilaa työtasolle.
